When one is considering a standby residential generator, aren't the different brands all the same? - kohler standby generators
The brands which we are spontaneously Onan, Kohler and Generac. If you can help me make an informed decision on the other, would be much appreciated, to buy. I just want to know why one is better than the other and they all produce the same performance. Confusion. Thank you.

I worked for Comed for over 32 years. I serve our emergency generators in the northern part of Illinois. You pay for what you longevity. One unit is cheaper than running a lot is not good that you build will eventually restore or replace. If you plan for an emergency cut a short or twice a year, would be a less expensive device is enough to use. All the brands you mention are excellent, but they sell all the units at lower prices with fewer features, too.
